Finding a venue that reflects your style

Choosing a venue is the first design decision of a wedding, not simply a question of where it will take place. The setting establishes the tone of the entire project (its light, its scale, its materials) and shapes much of what follows: budget, guest count, logistics, the rhythm of the days. Style is usually the starting point. A couple imagines a register: rustic and authentic, classic, romantic, contemporary, Mediterranean.

A venue that matches an aesthetic, however, is not always the one that works. Date availability, accommodation, capacity, venue regulations and budget all determine whether a place can hold the wedding it inspires. This is where guidance matters most. Our role is to bring these questions into the conversation early, so that the chosen venue aligns not only with the desired atmosphere but with everything practical that surrounds it. Below, a selection of styles and the Italian venues that express them best.

1. Rustic & Authentic

The slow warmth of the Italian countryside: stone, wood and long tables under an open sky, where the landscape sets the pace.

  • Country Chic / Rustic Elegance: Ideal for Tuscan farmhouses (casali) or restored barns. It beautifully blends raw elements like exposed wood, stone, and burlap with refined details like delicate lace, crystal, and soft candlelight.
  • Farm-to-Table / Masseria Style: A massive trend in Apulian masserie and organic estates. The focus is on nature—think long imperial tables set directly under ancient olive trees, string lights, and a menu celebrating local, zero-kilometer ingredients.
  • Borgo Antico (Historic Village): Utilizing a whole medieval hamlet or village for the wedding. Guests wander through stone alleys and gather in the main piazza, creating an immersive, traditional Italian festival feel.

Venues:

  1. Borgo San Felice
  2. Borgo Stomennano
  3. Borgo Egnazia
  4. Il Borro Relais
  5. Locanda in Tuscany

  • Minimalist Modern: Focuses on clean geometric spaces and contemporary Italian design. Decor is sparse but intentional, often using high-contrast color palettes (like black and white) and sleek styling.
