6 Tuscan wedding venues we’ve selected for 2027 and 2028
Tuscany never ceases to surprise us. Beyond its best-known destinations, there are places that offer a different perspective on the region, each with its own character and atmosphere.
At Blanc Weddings, we’re always looking for new venues to recommend to the couples we work with. We want to offer options that suit different tastes and wishes, but also have alternatives ready when a couple’s dream venue isn’t available on their preferred date. In the early stages of wedding planning, we recommend starting with the practical considerations: the spaces available, travel logistics and dates. Once you have a shortlist, other factors come into play, just as important as the practical ones: the aesthetic, the atmosphere and that particular emotional connection that makes one place feel right for you.
It’s the balance between practical needs and personal taste that shapes this selection. Six venues that caught our attention for different reasons, each with its own identity and its own way of hosting a wedding.
Pieve Aldina: the understated charm of a boutique hotel
In the heart of Chianti, less than an hour from Florence, Pieve Aldina is a former stone monastery with a stately presence, somewhere between rustic and aristocratic.
The property is part of the French group Les Domaines de Fontenille, which has brought together Tuscan heritage and French sensibility, balancing the elegance of a country retreat with the intimacy of a boutique hotel.
Why we like it
Pieve Aldina captures the Italy we love to share with our couples: ancient stone, the Chianti countryside and its proximity to Radda in Chianti, a village where local life is still very much part of the picture.
The owners, Frédéric Biousse and Guillaume Foucher, partners in life and business with backgrounds in fashion, personally selected the furnishings, combining designer pieces with flea-market finds. The studio Pierattelli Architetture preserved the character of the exterior while reworking the interiors to create 22 rooms, including suites and deluxe suites.
We imagine a delicate, minimalist wedding here, with a ceremony among the olive trees, wildflowers and white draping. A weekend to enjoy at a slower pace, with time by the pool and around the table, with Tuscan chef Niccolò Pini at the helm.
We’d choose it for: couples who love natural elegance, understated details and an intimate wedding where beauty speaks for itself.

Le Filigare: the warmth of a family estate
Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and woodland, Le Filigare is a stone villa that captures a more rustic, authentic side of Tuscany. Its private chapel and surrounding landscape create an intimate atmosphere, with nature woven into the experience.
We like this venue for the way it brings elegance and a sense of familiarity together: a carefully looked-after place where guests can feel at home.
Why we like it
That sense of familiarity is part of the estate’s own story, passed down through four generations. The p ing that the welcome guests receive comes from a genuine family story that continues to this day.
We’d choose it for: couples looking for an elegant wedding without too much formality, who love Chianti, local traditions and a convivial atmosphere where guests can truly feel at home.

Villa San Michele, a Belmond Hotel: Renaissance elegance in Florence
The only Florence-based venue in our selection, but one we couldn’t leave out when talking about dream destinations. Recently renovated and reopened, Villa San Michele offers a distinctive take on Florentine luxury. Its Renaissance architecture overlooks the hills of Fiesole, in a setting that lets you enjoy the Tuscan landscape just moments from the city. Belmond’s experience and attention to detail bring out the building’s historic character, combining the grandeur of the past with a contemporary sensibility.
Why we like it
It brings together the aristocratic character of its history and a refined, modern approach to luxury. Each space has its own identity and distinctive beauty, with details that make the experience feel special.
We’d choose it for: a fairytale wedding with a regal feel and a contemporary edge. A celebration where Renaissance elegance meets a modern aesthetic, creating a memorable setting without sacrificing sophistication.

Borgo Pignano: a secret garden away from the spotlight
In Florence, Borgo Pignano stands out for the Renaissance elegance of its main building. Arches, columns and pietra serena stone windows evoke the atmosphere of historic Tuscan residences, but here the setting feels more intimate and secluded.
Why we like it
Borgo Pignano has the aristocratic character of some of Tuscany’s most beautiful historic residences with a level of privacy that’s harder to find in more urban settings.
In some ways, it recalls Villa San Michele in Fiesole, especially in the interplay between historic architecture and pietra serena. The interiors are just as appealing, offering more than a backup plan for bad weather and making the venue a great option for autumn weddings.
We’d choose it for: couples who dream of a historic residence but prefer a private setting in the countryside, away from the bustle of more popular destinations

Casa Newton: a country house for design lovers
In Val d’Orcia, Casa Newton offers a different take on the Tuscan countryside. This farmhouse stands apart from the area’s more traditional properties thanks to its distinctive architectural identity: its deep red façade stands out against the hillside, inviting you to discover what lies inside.
Its character is less rooted in the traditional rustic aesthetic and closer to that of a private 19th-century home, where architecture, art and furnishings come together to create a personal atmosphere.
Why we like it
The project, led by architects Antoine Bertherat-Kioes and Jacopo Venerosi Pesciolini, with landscape architect Luciano Giubbilei, stands out for the way it connects the interiors and the surrounding landscape.
Wallpaper, upholstery and 1950s furniture create a considered aesthetic built around unexpected combinations and carefully chosen details. This isn’t cold minimalism, but a home with a distinct personality, where every element contributes to a welcoming atmosphere.
Located between Pienza and Montepulciano, Casa Newton gives guests the opportunity to explore the area and enjoy experiences rooted in the local landscape. The swimming pool completes the picture: a quiet spot for a wedding among friends, where spending time together matters as much as the setting itself.
We’d choose it for: couples with an eye for art and design who want a distinctive yet welcoming aesthetic, away from more conventional wedding settings.

Locanda Rossa: authentic Tuscany in the heart of the Maremma
For our final stop, we head to the Maremma, a part of Tuscany we love recommending to couples who want to venture beyond the classic itineraries while still giving their guests the chance to discover the region. Locanda Rossa is a great option for couples imagining a wedding surrounded by greenery, in a spacious and welcoming setting where the countryside meets country-chic style.
Why we like it The recent renovation has created thoughtfully designed interiors, with exposed beams, welcoming furnishings and a veranda overlooking an inviting swimming pool. The spaces are generous and filled with natural light, something we particularly appreciate when planning for a possible change in weather.
What really stands out, though, is the setting. The property is surrounded by the greenery of a working farm, with animals, vegetable gardens and olive groves. It offers a genuine taste of country life, away from the pace of everyday routines. We imagine a wedding where guests feel at ease from the moment they arrive: a place where attention to detail meets warm hospitality, leaving plenty of room for conversation and shared moments.
We’d choose it for: couples who want a relaxed wedding surrounded by nature, with plenty of space and an informal yet considered atmosphere where guests can feel at home throughout their stay.

New venues, different ways to experience a Tuscan wedding
If this selection reminds us of one thing, it’s that there’s no single perfect venue. The right one is the place that reflects how a couple wants to experience their wedding.
That’s why, when we help couples choose a venue, we look beyond photographs and first impressions. We take the time to understand what matters most to them, how they want to welcome their guests and what kind of atmosphere they want to remember from the day.
The venues we recommend come from this process of research and listening: places with a story to tell that, with the right vision, can become the setting for something entirely personal.
