Born and raised in Peru, yet deeply connected to their Italian roots, Simona and Tulio always felt a strong bond with the Bel Paese. Now living in Italy, they wished to say “I do” surrounded by family — the heart of their lives.
From their very first meeting with Blanc Weddings, their vision began to take shape: they dreamt of a grand, engaging wedding, one that would combine religious tradition, lavish celebration, and modern sophistication. Their ideas came together in a refined, deeply personal project: an authentic reflection of their love story between Italy and Peru.
The choice of Lake Como
Simona and Tulio sought a setting that felt European, glamorous, almost royal, but the decision didn’t come overnight. After numerous venue visits across Tuscany and Puglia, they found the magic they were searching for on the shores of Lake Como. The serene atmosphere, the couple’s arrival by boat, and the wedding cake illuminated by fireworks over the lake created the perfect cinematic aesthetic for their day.
Their final choice, Villa Erba, is a historic villa directly overlooking the water—home to monumental halls, frescoed ceilings, and grand gardens. The venue not only fulfilled their vision of opulence but also offered the comfort and scale to host more than four hundred guests, ensuring seamless flow and breathtaking beauty throughout the celebration.
A religious ceremony with royal allure
For Simona and Tulio, the religious ceremony held profound meaning. The church, an elegant 19th-century building, offered the ideal combination of grandeur, accessibility, and reverence. The bride’s entrance was a suspended moment of emotion and grace: Simona wore an haute couture gown by Oscar de la Renta, while Tulio awaited her in a flawless Salvatore Ferragamo suit.
The floral design by Ratti Flora transformed the nave into a dreamlike path: a gentle rain of white petals falling from above, creating a scene that was both theatrical and poetic. For Simona and Tulio, the first was the presence of their family’s trusted chef — from the celebrated Da Vittorio restaurant — a heartfelt nod to heritage, flavor, and belonging. Another key request was the music. The couple envisioned a live performance that would turn the reception into an immersive show, and Alessandro De Angelis delivered exactly that—transforming dinner into a full-scale experience of rhythm and emotion.
Blanc Weddings curated an elevated buffet-style dinner, allowing the couple to keep their dream venue despite a growing guest list. Later in the evening, during the vibrant “Hora Loca”— the traditional crazy hour marking the high point of Peruvian celebrations — the atmosphere shifted dramatically. With lights, colors, and tempo carefully orchestrated, Blanc Weddings created a contagious sense of joy that filled the night.
A weekend celebration in chapters
The beauty of Simona and Tulio’s journey also lived in the many places they explored along the way, each later transformed into a meaningful chapter of their destination wedding on Lake Como. Villa Gastel hosted a casual and intimate welcome dinner, the perfect prelude to greet guests arriving from around the world. On Sunday, Terrazza Olmo, designed by Vincenzo Dascanio and overlooking the tranquil waters of the lake, became the setting for an elegant farewell brunch with their closest friends, closing the weekend with grace, lightness, and impeccable style.
