Joseph and Joanne had clear ideas on when and where getting married, it had to be a Florence wedding, all about Tuscan food and wine! For them, we planned a special day in Villa Le Fontanelle.
A wedding weekend in Florence
Choosing to get married in Tuscany was almost obvious for Joseph and Joanne. They loved everything about Italy and especially Tuscany: the food, the wine, the weather… Florence was a destination they both knew and appreciated, so they immediately asked us to help them planning the wedding day here.
Their idea was to spend a few days with family and friends in a luxury venue enjoying the Tuscan sun and cuisine. The main event of this short holiday would have been their wedding: the official confirmation of their long lasting union!
Destination wedding at Villa Le Fontanelle
With about 80 guests coming from all over the world, our team was in charge of finding an ideal wedding venue in Florence and accommodation for all of them. Villa Le Fontanelle was just the perfect place! Joseph and Joanne appreciated its position, close to the city centre, together with the amazing view of Florence you can enjoy from its terrace.
We booked the entire villa so to have the exclusive use of all spaces and the six suites, for the closest members of their family and planned some culinary experiences for all the guests on the days before and after the wedding. Planning some extra activities to get to know the territory was definitely appreciated and made the stay in Italy even more unforgettable!
The religious ceremony in Florence
The wedding ceremony took place in St. James Episcopal Church in Florence. Everyone was there to share the emotions and joy of Joseph and Joanne on such a special day. It was a truly emotional moment for this couple, something they were looking forward for a while.
At the end of the ceremony and after some photos, it was time to party! The gala dinner at Villa Le Fontanelle started at sunset. All the tables were set on the terrace and let everyone appreciate a special view of Florence and its dome at night.
Party time in the villa
With a custom fairy lights design and chic table decorations we managed to transform the terrace in an exclusive party venue. Food and wine were provided by the best caterer in town. The menu was all about Tuscan recipes and flavors just like Joseph and Joanne asked for!
After the cake cutting moment, the party continued till late at night inside the villa. All the guests danced to the DJ’s music and enjoyed some drinks at the American bar.
