The estate tells the love story and vision of Antonio and Iris Origo, who transformed La Foce into a place of culture and harmony from 1924 onwards. Designed by English architect Cecil Pinsent, the gardens are a masterpiece of geometric Italian landscaping, where tree-lined avenues, terraces, and carefully framed perspectives open onto the breathtaking Val d’Orcia hills. This extraordinary setting is ideal for symbolic outdoor ceremonies, while the villa’s courtyard is perfect for a welcome cocktail, and the area in front of the main façade lends itself to elegant wedding dinners. The celebration can continue in the Orangerie, an atmospheric space designed for after-dinner parties.
