Wedding at Castello di Reschio

Castello di Reschio is a historic castle set between Umbria and Tuscany, with origins dating back to the early Middle Ages. Built as a fortified stronghold during the 10th–11th centuries, it has passed through generations of noble families before a period of agricultural use in the 20th century.

Since the 1990s, the Bolza family has carefully restored the castle and surrounding estate, reviving its architecture and farmhouses while integrating modern hospitality. Today, Reschio stands as a private estate where history and contemporary comfort coexist, offering a welcoming and authentic setting for events and gatherings.

Wedding reception at Reschio

Reception spaces at Reschio adapt to both season and format. The Palm Court, with its 1920s references, is typically used for welcome cocktails, offering a sheltered yet open setting that transitions smoothly into the evening.

For summer events, the Courtyard Garden accommodates banquets and imperial tables within a natural stone setting. Poolside areas are often reserved for informal gatherings such as welcome dinners or cocktail receptions, particularly suited to multi-day weddings and destination celebrations.

Guest Experience in Umbria

The Reschio estate allows couples to host their guests on-site, either within the hotel’s contemporary rooms or in the private houses located throughout the surrounding countryside. This flexibility supports extended stays and a more cohesive guest experience.

Dining is centered around two restaurants, Alle Scuderie and Al Castello, both focused on regional Italian cuisine with a modern approach. Beyond the estate, guests can explore key Umbria destinations including Perugia, Cortona, and Lake Trasimeno, making the wedding part of a broader cultural stay in central Italy.
