Coming from the UK, with their 70 guests, this lovely couple wanted to marry under the Tuscan sun surrounded by nature and experience the food delicacies of the region.
Country-chic wedding at Villa di Lilliano
The wedding of Laura and David took place in Villa di Lilliano a stunning venue not far from Florence and the Chianti region. The villa itself is also a wine estate producing organic wine and olive oil. The couple was looking for a venue where to organize both ceremony and reception and fell immediately in love with the villa as soon as we proposed it.
Once the location found, we gave it a go to the planning of all the related details starting with the selection of catering, photographer, flowers, entertainment and so on and so forth…what we like the most!
Symbolic ceremony in the villa
Laura and David got married to a symbolic super romantic ceremony on the terrace of the villa with the September sun shining brightly above their heads just as they wished.
The couple was simply beautiful. Laura wore a siren dress and arranged her hair in a low bun without covering them up with a veil… very elegant and chic. On the other hand, David relied on the typical Scottish outfit for important occasions: the kilt. The two of them were just stunning together and perfectly matched the color palette chosen for the wedding.
Country-chic decorations and details
For the wedding reception, the couple and their guests moved to the garden and sat at the wooden tables arranged for the occasion. We planned a country-chic ‘mise en place’ and added some wildflowers as a centerpiece: the result was just perfect.
Food and drinks were up to one of the best caterer in Florence and were very much appreciated by all guests.
Photo shooting in the vineyards
We planned the event so as to ensure to Laura and David time for great pictures both alone and with their friends. Of course, the photographer was also aware of the plan and everything followed a precise schedule.
Laura took some pictures with her bridesmaids and David did too with his friends. They also could take advantage of the bright sunlight to capture some romantic moments in the vines surrounding the villa before going on with the party.
