The history of Villa Sola Cabiati begins as the summer residence of the Serbelloni dukes, a perfect example of a late Baroque building. The main body of the villa was built in the early 1500s by the Dukes of Carretto, and in the second half of the 1700s, Duke Gabrio Serbelloni gave the mansion its current appearance, adding the two side wings and marble decorations. The coat of arms of the Serbelloni family and the motto “villulae quietem” invite days of serene rest. The mansion passed by marriage to Counts Sola Cabiati and their descendants, always maintaining the same ownership.
